Our view last week

EXV1, the European banking sector ETF, closes another week higher, if only marginally (+0.6%), and remains within a whisker of its record highs. The weekly RSI climbs to 70.7, brushing overbought territory, but buying volume slips to 55% from late July's 75%: the pace is cooling. The trade under management, open for 18 weeks, is now up 19.25% since entry.

After four straight weeks of gains, EXV1 books its first red week (-2%): sellers retake control of volume at 67%, flipping last month's buyer dominance. The weekly RSI cools from a whisker of overbought (70.7) to 65.7, and the MACD histogram has narrowed for a second straight week. The trade now stands at +16.82% since entry.
