Barclays, week 14: buyers retake control
Our view last week
The buyer-participation warning from a week ago has shown up: this week sellers outweighed buyers for the first time (53% versus 47%) and Barclays dipped 1.9%, after three straight weeks of gains. The weekly MACD histogram is easing off, but money flow stays solidly positive and the ADX keeps climbing: the trend still holds its conviction. Price remains capped under the 532 area, already tested four times since early April without ever clearing it.
This week's summary
Barclays' buy signal has been under management for 14 weeks, and the trade is up 17% since entry. After sellers took the upper hand for the first time a week ago, buyers regained control this week (55% versus 45%) and the stock bounced 2% off its daily 20-day moving average, in the 510 area. Money flow stays solid, but volume is thinning and the wall in the 530 area keeps turning back every push higher.
