Our view last week
Ballard Power just closed another heavy week, down 12.3% after the prior week's 12.5% drop — the second straight double-digit week. Sellers still ran the tape, at 86% of volume, and money flow has turned negative for a second week running. On the daily chart the stock has strung together five lower highs, from the 4.6 area down to the 3.1 area. The short is now more than 36% in profit, but the trend is losing its edge: the weekly ADX has been sliding for three weeks.
This week's summary
Ballard Power closes the week up 7.4%, its first breather after two heavy double-digit weeks. The bounce comes off a double bottom in the 2.7 area, with an intermediate rebound of 22% from the lows. But sellers still dominate volume, at 53%, and cash flow keeps worsening: a divergence that matters more than the bounce itself. The weekly ADX has been sliding for a third straight week, a sign the trend is losing conviction.
