CAC 40 ETF: back on the record high as buying volume rebuilds
CAC 40 ETF · weekly technical analysis
Our view last week
The CAC, the CAC 40 ETF, has climbed back onto its all-time high: from 2.29% below the peak last week it now works just 0.66% under, up 5.28% since entry. Industrials and banks, the two heaviest slices of the basket, each added more than 2% on the week. The daily technical analysis flags one uncomfortable detail, though: buying now accounts for under a quarter of traded volume. Price is rising while the tape beneath it thins out.
This week's summary
The CAC, the CAC 40 ETF, is glued to its all-time high again: 0.35% below the record against 0.66% seven days ago, and up 7.80% since entry. The daily technical analysis now tells a different story — buying is back to 40% of traded volume after slipping under a quarter a week ago, money flow is positive and the MACD histogram is climbing again. Our quality band, though, advises against fresh entries.
