DAX 40 ETF: rejected at the record high, a buy now to manage

Technical analysis of the DAX 40: the German-index ETF is in week 13 of a buy setup, but the record high firmly rejected it and the gain is back near breakeven. Structure still bullish, signals fading, and a quality band that advises against fresh entries.

Our view last week
The DAX ETF came back to test its all-time high and was firmly rejected: after brushing the record a week ago, price has slipped to a little over 3% below the peak and the trade's gain has thinned to +1.26% from entry. The weekly structure stays bullish, but price action is turning lower and our indicators flag a cycle running out of steam: it's week 12 of a now-mature buy, one to manage with the stop.
This week's summary
The DAX 40 — the ETF tracking the German index — came back to knock on its all-time high and was firmly turned away: price has slipped more than 4% below the peak and the trade's gain is now barely above breakeven. On the daily, buyers still own the tape, yet our indicators point to a rally that's largely spent: Signal Strength is low, the primary scenario leans lower, and the quality band advises against fresh entries.
