DAX: Germany's ETF back within a whisker of its record, strength at rock bottom
EU Broad indices · buy signal, week 15
Our view last week
The DAX, an ETF tracking Germany's DAX 40 index, has been in a buy for 14 weeks yet shows only +1.24%: rejected at the all-time high, it now works about 3% below. The daily, though, is fighting back, with a double bottom in the 224 area and buyers dominating the tape. The weekly signals stay tired: MACD histogram falling, price action cooling, the model's scenario tilting lower and the quality band advising against fresh entries. A mature uptrend, to be walked along with the stop.
This week's summary
The DAX, the German DAX 40 ETF, is back within 1% of its all-time high after being turned away three times in a single week: weekly technical analysis shows +3.44% performance since entry, with the MACD histogram picking up after three weeks of retreat. Our indicators stay cold, though: Signal Strength at 8 out of 100, the model's scenario tilting lower, the quality band advising against fresh entries. Those already in manage the risk with the stop; those watching from outside wait.
