Deutsche Bank stock slips 3%, back to its 20-day moving average

August 21, 2026

Our view last week

Deutsche Bank stock closes another positive week, +1.5%, though the pace slows from the previous two: sellers edge back above half of turnover, while the weekly RSI and ADX keep climbing regardless. The stock is trading close to its recent highs, squeezed between the wall at 34.1 euros and support in the 33.3 area. Compared with last week, when it ran at its best in months, the pace turns more cautious, but the weekly technical analysis still points to a solid structure.

This week's summary

Deutsche Bank stalls after 3 weeks higher: this week the stock sheds 3%, right at the 20-day moving average now working as resistance, and sellers take back control of volume, 72%. The weekly picture still leans bullish - ADX rising for 10 weeks, MACD above its Signal line for 12 - but the histogram starts to fade and money flow slows: the first signs of a breather after the run.
