McDonald's · sell signal under management
McDonald's slips 2.5% to new lows, but money flow turns to buying
McDonald's · sell signal under management
Our view last week
McDonald's rebound stalled against a wall of resistance: the stock pushed into the 276 area and got turned back with a bearish engulfing candle, closing the week down 2.1% with 86% of volume on the sell side. The sell signal has been under management since week 17, the short above 11% in profit: under the surface money flow is nearly back to even, but the structure stays boxed between support and resistance.
This week's summary
McDonald's shares slip another 2.5% and print a fresh 7-day low, in the 264 area, where a clean double bottom is already carrying a 9% intermediate rebound. Underneath, money flow has just turned positive after weeks on the sell side: an early sign of fatigue in the decline. The weekly picture stays neutral, with sellers still slightly ahead on the last bar.
