Our view last week
This week Microsoft stock climbed 2.3%, and the technical picture flipped fast: the weekly MACD, which had just turned bearish seven days ago, is already back in a bullish cross. Money flow keeps rising for a fourth straight week, and the stock is still just above its 200-week average. The sell signal, now in its sixth week of management, is struggling to find rhythm.
This week's summary
Microsoft's bounce has stalled: after last week's change of pace, the stock dropped 3.1% this week and sellers retook control, with 83% of volume on the sell side in the last session. The double bottom in the 363-367 area still holds, but money flow has collapsed to near zero and the trend is losing conviction. Our weekly technical analysis is now also watching earnings, due this very week on July 28.
