Cloudflare: a clean bounce toward the highs
Our view last week
Cloudflare shares fall 5.6% on the week, though the drop follows a clean double bottom in the 214 area and a 13% rebound. Underneath, buyers are stepping back: their dominance is collapsing and the last daily bar shows sellers firmly in control. With earnings due July 30, our technical analysis calls for extra caution on a buy signal that's still active but losing steam.
This week's summary
Cloudflare climbs 6.4% on the week, bouncing cleanly off its 20-day moving average after touching the 263 area. The stock is still hugging its all-time highs though, a level already tested twice over the past ten weeks: our model's discipline calls for a pullback before opening new positions. Earnings land this week, on August 6, and could push volatility higher.
