Nike rises 0.1% as buyers reclaim volume, but the decline keeps its pace

August 21, 2026

Our view last week

Nike stock sheds 2.3% this week as sellers push back to 84% of volume, the heaviest tilt since late July. The attempt to clear the 42.6 area was rejected decisively, and the price drops back below the No-Trade Zone. The weekly ADX climbs again, to 30.3: the decline keeps gaining conviction even as money flow stays negative. The short has been under management for 23 weeks, now more than 28% in the money.

This week's summary

Nike stock stabilizes this week (+0.1%) as buyers take back control of volume, at 78%, after four straight weeks in which sellers were in charge. The daily structure stays weak though: five consecutive lower highs push the price from the 44 area toward 41, and the weekly ADX keeps climbing, now at 31.6 — the decline keeps gaining conviction even during the pause. The short has been under management since week 25, with a gain above 28%.
