Vertiv: sellers retake control
Our view last week
Vertiv's Sell signal has been under management for seven weeks, with the short now more than 8% in the money. This week the stock dropped 9.2%, and money flow has slid deeper negative for a fourth straight week. But beneath the surface sellers are losing some edge: daily volume still leans to the buy side, and the daily chart has already carved a double bottom with a 31% intermediate rebound off the low. Price remains boxed between resistance in the 292 area and support in the 287 area.
This week's summary
Vertiv's Sell signal has been under management for eight weeks, with the short 8% in profit. This week sellers reclaimed control: 93% of volume was on the sell side and money flow slid further negative, even as the stock closed nearly flat. Last week's exhaustion signs cooled off: the double bottom in the 278 area, with its 31% rebound, remains the buyers' last line of defense.
