Walmart, seventh week under management: short up 1.3%
Our view last week
Walmart bounced 1.8% this week, carving out a clean double bottom on the daily chart in the 109 area, with almost all of the week's volume on the buy side. The short on the sell signal remains in profit, roughly 1.6% since entry. A week ago the decline was still making lower lows; the pace has now paused — and weekly money flow stays negative, with momentum still stuck.
This week's summary
Walmart's Sell signal has been under management for seven weeks, with the short a touch above 1% in profit. After last week's 1.8% bounce off a clean double bottom in the 109 area, the stock stalled this week: sellers took back control of the tape, and price is boxed into an extremely tight range, the 50-week average just above and the daily Bollinger midline just below, both around the 114 area.
