XLG: sellers retake control in week six
Our view last week
On XLG the buyers are back in charge: the rebound off the daily EMA20, in the 61 area, adds another 2.1% to the week, with almost all the trading on the buy side. It's the second straight recovery week for the sell signal, which still hasn't been confirmed by the market — but under the surface money flow has faded and momentum keeps slipping: it's still a stalemate, waiting for a real turn.
This week's summary
On XLG the sellers are back in charge: after two recovery weeks that never confirmed the sell signal, this week the tape flips, with three-quarters of volume on the sell side and a 2% decline. Money flow, already fading last week, slides further negative and momentum has turned negative again. The price is boxed into a tight band between a support and a resistance right nearby — the sixth week of management, still without a real turn.
